What InnovateX is all about?

InnovateX will bring together students, professionals and tech enthusiasts from across the region, challenging them to harness their skills and creativity in a competitive yet collaborative environment. Participants will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, engage with industry experts, and gain valuable insights into the latest technological trends.

Activities

Computing Quiz

Participants will answer a series of computing-related questions covering programming, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals within a set time frame. Winners will be determined based on accuracy, speed, and depth of knowledge.

Code Sprint

Participants will be given a run-time problem which requires a comprehensive solution within in a set time frame. Winners will be decided on criteria of Time, Design, UI/UX & functionality.

ProjecXellence

Participants will present their final year project to the jury and then the jury will decide the winners based on different criteria such as solution to a problem, design, scalability etc.

InnovateX Rules & Regulations

By registering for the InnovateX, participants agree to abide by all the rules and regulations mentioned below. The organizers reserve the right to amend these rules at any time.

General Rules

  1. Eligibility
    • Participants must be students currently enrolled in a university or college.
    • Different events have specific eligibility criteria (detailed below).
    • Every participant is required to upload:
      • Student ID card (Front & Back)
      • CNIC (Front & Back)
      • A transcript or screenshot of student portal showing total semesters completed
  2. Participation
    • Participants must register online before the deadline, i.e., 15th July 2025.
    • Each participant can only be part of one team.
  3. Team Composition
    • Teams must consist of a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 4 members in ProjecXellence category only.
    • Team members must be from the same university.
    • Teams can include members from different semesters based on event eligibility:
      • Computing Quiz: Semester 1 to 2
      • CodeSprint Junior: Semester 3 to 5
      • Code Spring Senior: Semester 6 to 8
      • ProjecXellence: Semester 7 & 8 only
  4. Registration
    • Each team must register through the official InnovateX website.
    • Registration requires filling out the necessary details for all team members.
    • A registration fee of Rs. 500 must be paid to confirm participation. Payment details are available on the official website.

Specific Event Rules

  1. Computing Quiz
    • Open to students from Semester 1 to Semester 2.
    • Teams must follow general team composition rules.
    • Participants must be punctual; late arrivals beyond 5 minutes will result in disqualification.
    • Quiz will be conducted on provided PCs.
  2. CodeSprint (Junior)
    • Open to students from Semester 3 to Semester 5.
    • Participants must follow general team composition rules.
    • Internet access and PCs will be provided.
    • Late arrivals beyond 5 minutes will result in disqualification.
  3. CodeSprint (Senior)
    • Open to students from Semester 6 to Semester 8.
    • Participants must follow general team composition rules.
    • Internet access and PCs will be provided.
    • Late arrivals beyond 5 minutes will result in disqualification.
  4. ProjecXellence
    • Open to students from Semester 7 and Semester 8 only.
    • Each team may consist of only 2 to 4 members.
    • Participants must bring all the necessary equipment for their project display.

Code of Conduct

  1. Original Work
    • All submissions must be the original work of the participants.
    • Plagiarism or the use of pre-existing projects will lead to disqualification.
  2. Disqualification Rules
    • Violating any rules will result in immediate disqualification.
    • Cheating, hacking, or misconduct will not be tolerated.
  3. Judging Criteria
    • Projects will be judged based on creativity, functionality, and presentation.
    • The judges’ decisions are final and binding.
  4. Intellectual Property
    • Participants retain ownership of their work.
    • By participating, teams agree to allow InnovateX organizers to use project details for promotional purposes.
  5. Code of Ethics
    • High standards of ethics and conduct must be maintained.
    • Sharing ideas is encouraged, but final work must be unique to each team.

Schedule and Logistics

  1. Event Schedule
    • InnovateX 2.0 will be held on 6th August 2025.
    • Detailed event timings will be provided after registration.
  2. Venue
    • The event will take place at GIFT University, Gujranwala.
    • Participants are responsible for their own transportation and accommodation.
  3. Support
    • Mentors and technical support will be available throughout the event.
    • Assistance is permitted, but final work must be participant’s own.

Awards and Recognition

  1. Prizes
    • Prizes will be awarded to top teams in each event.
    • Additional awards may be given for innovation, best presentation, etc.
  2. Certificates
    • All participants will receive an E-Certificate of Participation.
    • Winners will receive E-Certificates of Achievement.
